Knappogue Castle 1992 Single Malt 2nd bottling

The last of a run of three vintage Cooleys bottled by Knappogue, before the switch to Bushmills. The 1992 was bottled at eight years old after spending its life in a bourbon cask. According to Castle Brands, 'this bottling owns far more grip and structural grace than the 1991'. A very easygoing double-distilled malt. The second of two batches of this vintages.

Knappogue Castle 1993 Single Malt

The Knappogue Castle vintage malt series started with three Cooleys before changing direction slightly with this Bushmills. The delicate malt theme is maintained but there's extra spice and fruit in the 1993. This one is triple-distilled, while the previous have been just distilled twice.

Knappogue Castle 1994 Single Malt 1st bottling

The second Bushmills in the Knappogue Castle vintage range (previous ones being from Cooley), this one was bottled in 2004. Plenty of typical of floral Bushmills notes with heaps of fruit too. The first of two batches from this year of distillation.

Knappogue Castle 1994 Single Malt US Collectors Edt

Triple-distilled at the Bushmills Distillery in 1994 and bottled in late 2009, just shy of its 15th birthday. The casks for this single malt were hand picked by Mark Andrews III and just 1,100 bottles were released.

Knappogue Castle 1995 Single Malt 1st bottling

The third Bushmills in the series, following some Cooleys. This is a triple-distilled, bourbon matured single malt that builds on the 1994. Very interesting to try alongside the other Bushmills vintages from Knappogue. A little more vanilla and spice, with not shortage of light fruits. The first of two bottlings from this vintage.

Knappogue Castle 1998 Single Malt

The Knappogue vintage series takes a jump from 1995 to 1998, but it's along the same lines. This malt is bourbon matured, like the previous bottlings in the range. It was bottled back in 2010. You can expect a smooth vanilla malt with some honey and light fruits. Delicate.

Knappogue Castle 2000 Burgundy Cask Batch 1

The extra maturation in a Mongeard-Mugneret Burgundy cask has enhanced the natural fruitiness of the Bushills malt, andding layers of juiciness, gentle spices and dark chocolate.

Knappogue Castle 2000 Burgundy Cask Batch 2

The second bottling of the Celtic Whiskey Shop single cask series from Knappogue Castle. This whiskey was finished in a Pinot Noir cask from Mongered Mugneret, resulting in hazelnut, coffee, vanilla and sweet spice notes.

Knappogue Castle 2000 Marsala Cask Batch 1

Finished in a Marco di Bartoli Marsala cask, which has added touches of caramel toffees, banoffee pie and mocha. This 1st edition of the single cask Knappogue Castles is one of our all-time favourite whiskeys.

Knappogue Castle 2000 Marsala Cask Batch 2

Initially matured in an ex-Bourbon cask before being finished in a Marsala barrel from Marco di Bartoli in Sicily. Dry, spicy and powerful. Some nice fusel oil flavours along with lots of dried fruits, chocolate, caramel and orange peel.

Knob Creek

A rich and spicy whiskey that was formulated to recreate the taste and appearance of old pre-prohibition bourbons. Flavours of nuts, chocolate, toasty oak and spice.

Knockando 12 Year-Old

Creamy textured and quite chewy with flavours of roasted nuts, caramel popcorn, malted cereals and fudge.

Knockando 1969 Extra Old Reserve

Smooth, juicy and fruity with some spicy oak and subtle sherry notes. Flavours of nuts, crème caramel and toasty oak on the finish.

Knockdhu 11 Year-Old Connoisseurs Choice

An intersting old bottle from Gordon and MacPhail's Connoiseur's Choice series. This is a real treat and has the classic light, citrus and malt flavours expected.

Lagavulin 12 Year-Old

Lots of smoke with a good touch of oatcake, biscuit and caramel flavours with touches of lemon cheesecake, salted caramel and wood smoke.

Lagavulin 16 Year-Old

So much more than just another smoky whisky. This is packed full of flavours of iodine, sweet malt, candied orange peel, lapsang souchon and pipe tobacco.

Lagavulin Distillers Edition

Finished in sweet Pedro Ximenez sherry barrels. This has the characteristic iodine note along with notes of chocolate, hazelnuts and toffee.

Laphroaig 10 Year-Old

Smoky, seaweed, iodine, bonfires on the beach, tarred rope all feature with some chewy, tannic oakiness adding pepper and spice.

Laphroaig 15 Year-Old 200th Anniversary

Not as full-on as other Laphroaigs. Here the smoke is more restrained and backed up by some delicious fruit, vanilla and honey flavours.

Laphroaig 18 Year-Old

Very full-bodied and rich with an incredibly complex flavour profile. Bonfires on the beach, caramel toffees, banana bread, dark chocolate and prunes.
