Following on from the hugely successful Caskmates Stout edition comes this crisp and fruity tasting IPA cask aged Jameson. This is created the same way: Jameson whiskey barrels are sent to a local brewery where they are used to mature an IPA, the casks are then returned to Jameson where the whiskey is finished again in the casks giving the whiskey gentle hop and fruit flavours.

The vatted grain was finished in a combination of tequila and mezcal casks for seven months whilst the malt was only finished in mezcal casks for seven months. Batch 1 is limited to 700 bottles.

Batch 2 of The Battalion is an USA release which was limited to 600 bottles. This 9 Year Old single grain whiskey was bottled in Summer 2019 and 30% was finished in Mezcal casks whilst the remaining 70% was finished in tequila casks.
