Talisker 25 Year-Old

Complex and chewy with quite prominent oak. This has flavours of lapsang souchon tea, smoke, star anise, and of course some sappy, resinous oak.

Talisker Port Ruighe

Coastal notes of brine and seaweed on the nose. The palate is fruitier and softer but it still has that pungent Talisker smokiness.

Teeling 21 Year-Old Special Reserve

The Teeling 21 is released in small batches. Distilled with a portion of peated malt at a distillery usually associated with unpeated whiskey, it's was the first Irish whiskey to have been finished in a Sauternes sweet wine cask, after spending most of its life in a bourbon barrel. It's beautifully floral and tropical, with bags of biscuity malt. Everyone loves this whiskey.

Double-distilled at a distillery that is more famed for its triple-distilled single malts, this started off in an American white oak ex-Bourbon cask before being finished in white Burgundy wine casks. The finishing has added some glorious fruit characters that are very much in harmony with the whiskey. Just 1000 individually numbered bottles have been made of this absolutely stunning Irish whiskey.

Teeling 30 Year-Old Platinum Edition Cask No. 2

Part of the Teeling Vintage Series, just 250 bottles of this ultra rare Irish single malt whiskey were produced. A single bourbon cask, double-distilled in 1983. It has lots of musty oaky character, with tobacco notes too.

Teeling Revival Volume I 15 Year-Old Single Malt

A single malt whiskey from the Teeling Whiskey Company to celebrate the revival of whiskey distilling in Dublin, once the whiskey capital of the world. Their new distillery in the Liberties is the first to open in Ireland's capital for over 125 years, and this 15-year-old rum cask matured single malt is a fitting tribute. It has lovely fruity and coconut notes, like a bowl of muesli.

Teeling Single Cask 925 Madeira

A lovely dark, juicy, figgy single malt bottled for the Celtic Whsikey Shop. It was distilled in 2001 and bottled 13 years later at 55.7% abv after being finished in a Madeira drum.

Teeling Single Cask 926 Madeira

Glass - 35.5ml€9.95

Distilled in 2002 at an undisclosed distillery, it was matured in a refill bourbon barrel before being transferred into a Madeira cask for a year of finishing, producing 315 bottles at 55.9% abv. During a Twitter tasting, participants described it as having notes of vanilla, dried fruit, chocolate and marmalade.

Teeling Single Cask An Pucan

An Pucan is a great whiskey bar in lovely Galway City. Teeling have supplied them with their own single cask, distilled at an undisclosed location in Ireland in 2002 and put into a refill bourbon cask, before being finished in a Carcavelos white port pipe for a year of finishing. Just 140 bottles were produced at cask strength (56% abv). It's a zesty single malt that benefits from a little water.

Teeling Single Cask Burgundy

A single cask for the Celtic Whsikey Shop that has been finished for a short time in a White Burgundy cask, which has given it white wine notes, with pineapple, vanilla and honey layered over a fresh, fruity malt. The generous abv gives it a nice punch.

Teeling Single Grain

Glass - 35.5ml€6.25

They make great grain whiskey at the Cooley Distillery, where the Teeling brothers learnt their trade before setting up their own operation in Dublin's Liberties. They've finished this sweet grain whiskey in wine casks, which has given the spirit some extra character, with bubblegum and vanilla notes. Whisky writer Jim Murray asks of this Teeling grain, "How can something this clean also be so complex?" Also great in cocktails.

Teeling Single Malt

This lovely malt features malts of various vintages, but the oldest dates back to 1991. The components were matured in a variety of casks - Sherry, Madeira, White Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon - to build up layers of flavour.

Teeling Small Batch

The Teelings have access to some great whiskey while their own stuff waits to come of age. This is a malt/grain blend that was finished in rum casks to add another dimension. Whisky blogger Serge Valetin describes it as fruity and earthy. A very enjoyable easy-drinking blend.
